Back When Nica was Nica
Photobucket
Casa Serenity

The Market in downtown San Juan where we picked up fresh produce.

San Juan's fearless 'Bomberos'

(there's numerous stories to tell about these guys)

The crowded and ever popular Playa Madera

(surf was ok, but too many people in the water)

To get the inside track we had to hook up with our friend, Harry Youbanks

He turned us on to a great surf spot.

Can't tell you the whereabouts of this spot, or crazy dreadlocked american hippie will beat me down.

Lacey loved the waves but hated the jellies

Tearing it up on one of the many good waves of the day

Doesn't get much better than this...oh, and this place is called Tamerindo...you stupid hippie.

One of the many restaurants along San Juan Bay

Caught some good waves here at Yankee as well...

Picked up a PHAT lobster dinner from a local fisherman at Yankee.

Headed out to Popoio to catch some big waves...

Found no waves, just a crazy monkey who kept us entertained

(the ol' down-the-shirt-trick)

Looks like someone's ready to be a daddy.

(Ahhhhhhhhh)

Beach-side eating, rainbows while surfing, beautiful sunsets...what more do you need?

Pulling into a nice wave

Our last couple days we surfed 'till it was dark.

Our old buddy, Harry Youbanks, took us to the airport in Managua.

(the hardest part was leaving the rum behind)
Also check out http://livinez.blogspot.com/ for some more pictures from the trip.
